The first show of the Pot
of Gold Dressage Schooling Show Series
at High Point Stables is coming up fast; entry deadline is June 20th
so hurry with your entries and start riding for a chance to win our end
of year cash back awards of up to
$800.00.
High Point Stables is also sanctioned with MDC & Glass-Ed.
Our second show in our
now 3 show series, July 26th at MBarM is being cancelled and we
would like to ask for everyone’s support and prayers.
Danielle McMahon has
suffered a serious accident. Her skull was fractured and a lung
punctured when a customers green horse lost its nerve while Danielle was
trimming its hind hoofs. Danielle’s doctors found no bruising from the
skull fracture but her punctured lung will require up to a year to heal.
As she heals she is planning on putting more emphases on her lesson
program.
Danielle has given an
incredible amount of solid teaching and training of horsemanship and
riding skills to the horse community. She has been working as a full
time farrier, giving riding instructions, and coaching an Equestrian
Team and Pony Club. Not only is Danielle an excellent horsewoman she
also always has time, patients and a kind word for everyone.
Her husband Mark would like
everyone to review and reflect our practices on safe horsemanship and to
remember “Horses are not our pets, a naughty kitten is a nuisance but a
misbehaving horse is dangerous”.
We will have a support jar
for the McMahon family at our remaining 3 shows. Cards and get well
wishes may be sent to:
10266 Van Buren Rd.
Portland, MI, 48875
Let’s all pull together and
support this wonderful family who has given so much.

USDF Member Feedback Opportunity-USEF Dressage Performance Standards Proposal
The USEF Dressage Committee has released a new draft of the Dressage Performance Standards Proposal for review and feedback from USDF and USEF members. This new proposal would establish a qualification process for competing at Fourth Level and above at USEF-licensed/USDF-recognized Dressage Competitions. The proposal would become effective on December 1, 2010 for the 2011 competition year.
The USEF Dressage Committee invites USDF members to review the new draft posted on the USEF Web site, then log-in through the USEF Web site to fill out an online survey, by June 15, 2008. This survey will be used to collect member feedback and comments which will be reviewed by the Dressage Committee at their July 1-2 meeting.
USDF encourages all members to participate in the survey and provide input. All members are welcome to participate in the survey.
